Collins Transport

Collins Transport is a family owned and run road transport business based in Co. Cork. First established in the 1920’s, the business, in it’s current form, is operated by brothers Mike and Tadgh Collins who have more than 30 years experience in operating an efficient and reliable transport service in freight, container, bulk milk and specified waste both in Ireland and the UK.

The quality of service and attention we provide to our customers can be traced to our experienced workforce. Our drivers undergo regular training to keep up to date with legislation and best practice in their particular area of work together with ongoing training in technology used daily. The current owners both drive on a regular basis ensuring that they are in contact with their customers and their individual requirements.

 

Our fleet consists of more than 35 articulated Scania trucks and in excess of 55 various types of trailers to meet our customers needs. We  invest in updating our fleet each year and the effectiveness of this has been proven year after year resulting in minimum breakdowns and therefore better service for our customers.

 

All of our trucks are fitted with GPS satellite tracking. All trucks are instantly locatable and contactable which provides enhanced security for our customers.  

All trucks also have a cloud based application that allows each driver to send data remotely from their truck to the office instantly ensuring no delays in paperwork and an overall more efficient processing of data on customer loads and successful deliveries made.
